Heaven and Songs is a bittersweet meditation on impermanence. In the performance to camera directed by Lydia Garnett, Sasha Wilde moves in an undefined space, coming in and out of focus, momentarily emerging from darkness into light. The song reimagines haunting of one’s lover as a sweet continuation of an infinite bond. 2019
A monster on trial. What links a Livonian werewolf in 17th century and a Lithuanian teenager in the year 2003? A medley of narrated historical accounts of a Livonian werewolf on trial, which included shocking claims that werewolves were the “hounds of heaven”, Sasha’s own account of becoming the target of a satanic panic and going through interrogations by the police, journalists & teacher committees, take you on a journey interrogating notions of monstrosity — hear it from the monster themselves, and decide if they’re a hound of heaven, a demon, or…?

"If this is your path, as it is mine, let me offer whatever solace you may find in this monstrous benediction:
May you discover the enlivening power of darkness within yourself.
May it nourish your rage.
May your rage inform your actions, and your actions transform you as you struggle to transform your world." Susan Stryker
Performing at The Attic, Helsinki, 2024
When i make a fist, i close a melody, a note, a fragment, and i hear it in my head, as a memory; the sound becomes a memory and is then immediately recorded, archived for bringing back.
Technologies can be used to move us away from our embodiment; they can be used to bridge the barriers we erected between ourselves and our bodies. Those barriers can be of multiple origins: they can be linguistic, they can be mechanical, digital.
A cyborg or a cybernetic organism is a system that embraces organic and technological components. The glove makes me into a cyborg: I extend my vocal capacity to hit the lower and the higher notes than my vocal chords and my body would organically allow. My lowest note now sounds like a cello, while my highest note is an uncanny eeriness I can evoke with a gesture.
